Get real with yourself and answer these questions right now:

Are you avoiding difficult conversations because you are afraid of offending or hurting someone? It is often more hurtful not to have the conversation. (Lots of personal experience here).

Are the people you lead afraid of making mistakes because they don’t want to upset you or set you off? This fear limits their ability to problem-solve and innovate.

Are you struggling to respond compassionately to certain people around you? If it’s not sincere, neither you nor they are feeling it.

How confident are you that when you experience a setback, you have the resources to get back on your feet again? Having a resilience skill set is vital to growth, creativity, and well-being. And a critical skillset for the coming years.

How would you like to face 2021 with language and tools to help you:

  • engage in difficult conversations, especially around emotions, accountability, diversity, inclusion, boundaries, and conflict.
  • have productive and compassionate responses to emotions (your own and others’),
  • cultivate greater trust in your relationships,
  • release more creativity,
  • have more awareness of and intentionality around your top values, and
  • be more resilient after setbacks?

It's all about courage. And courage is teachable, observable, and measurable. I invite you to join me (or my colleague, Katie Brandt) for an empirically-based curriculum that will forever change the way you show up at work and in life.

Let 2021 be your year of profound professional and personal growth.

During this 9-session intensive, you will learn how to:

  • Rumble with vulnerability. This is the foundational skill set of courage-building. Our ability to be daring leaders will never be greater than our capacity for vulnerability.

  • Live into your values. Our values inspire us to be brave. By clarifying them, we can lean into them as we step out in courage.

  • Build trust. Brave leaders understand the elements of trust, how to build trust with themselves and others, and how to address trust-related issues when they arise.

  • Rise Strong. When we have a process for recovering from the inevitable setbacks that occur when we are being brave, our courage muscle grows.

What Dare to Lead™ (DTL) Intensive graduates are saying about the experience:

“What I expected to be a typical leadership development course turned into an eye-opening, inspirational regular work session that was the highlight of my week…I highly recommend it to anyone wishing to expand their capacity to work with, learn from, and lead others, whether in business, at home or in their community.” ~Cara Martin, COO, Optimized Thermal Systems, Inc.

The intensive was exactly what I needed to guide me as I navigate the challenges the pandemic has brought my organization. Having this in my toolbox makes every difficult decision or conversation less intimidating and has given me the confidence to stride boldly into the arena over and over again.” ~Jessamine Duvall, Executive Director, Girls on the Run Central MD

The structure of the intensive combined with the facilitation helped me give myself the permission to open up quickly with [other group members] while fully engaging with the materials…  Whether I’m working with myself or coaching a team member, it’s how we react in the moment that many times shapes an outcome. Whether I armor up or get curious can be the difference between escalation or solution. I find daring leadership to help me in the moment and to have more effective discussions with my team to prepare for and debrief any situation.” ~Joshua Reid, VP of R&D, Global Value Transformation at Kellogg Company

“The DTL Intensive program was just what I needed at this point in my leadership.  I was able to look at myself in business and in life and see where the concepts of courage, vulnerability, shame, armor, etc., showed up in me. Katie is a great facilitator and she allowed each of us to process and share our thoughts.  She provided guidance and encouragement in a non-judgmental way.” ~Theresa Leatherbury, President of Rachuba

“I had such a transformative and life-changing experience working with Katie on the Dare to Lead material…We were able to show up as our best selves and learn tremendously. I feel so grateful to have gone through the program. I am a more courageous and brave leader because of it.” ~Serena Shapero, Director of Philanthropy at Congregation Rodeph Shalom
